THE DEALERSHIP
K.I.G. Continued to grow over the many years having a 53% penetration in the market. OK died in 1951 and the leadership of the company fell to his brother Emmanuel until his death in 1953, his nephew Rudolph Jr. (Dossie) was appointed the Chairman and his brother Vernon Jr. was appointed general manager. 
Letters were received from Henry Ford II in 1958 congratulating KIG Achieving 50 years as a dealer. He also sent a brief extract from a letter that was written by his Grandfather to OK in 1933 when KIG achieved 25 years as a dealer.
William J. Montag of Ford, in 1969 confirmed that the Henriques Borthers began selling Ford Motor Cars in 1907, however the first sales agreement was signed on January 15, 1908.
Rudolph Jr. died in 1978 and his nephew David was appointed chairman of Henriques Brothers.
KIG was appointed the Daihatsu dealer in 1982 until Toyota the owner of Daihatsu decided to establish their own distribution in Jamaica in 2004.
KIG was sold in 1986 to the Lascelles deMercado group, who continues to operate the Ford Dealership in Jamaica.
