Parts Department

KIG has in place Sea or Air Freight arrangements. Sea Freight takes approximately 10-12 working weeks for delivery from time of firm order, while Air Freight will see delivery of items in approximately 21 working days from the time of placing a firm order.

Each order for spare parts will require a minimum deposit of 50% of selling price, payable to KIG for Ford and Yamaha or Cars & Commercial for Subaru, before the order is placed. Once a portion of an order is available from stock then no deposit will be required for that portion.

Orders placed for fleet (volume) sales, can attract Discounts ranging from 10% to 25% of Selling Price. The benefits accruing from this arrangement will see the reduction in the deposits placed with KIG or Cars & Commercial and if items are available from stock, a reduction in the lead time for these items.

Parts Deposit for Special Orders

• A minimum deposit of 50% and or Purchase Order of selling price are required to place firm order of spare parts.
• Estimated time of delivery is 10-12 working weeks by Sea, 21 working days by Air.
• Parts will be kept in stock for 2 months after which will be sold if not collected.
• A personal cheque will be held for 7 days after entering the banking system.
• A foreign cheque is held for 30 working days after entering the banking system.
• Deposits may be made at any branch of the Bank of Nova Scotia, to the account of Kingston Industrial Garage.

• The Parts Sales Consultant must then be contacted and the stamped deposit slip must be presented or faxed to the attention of the Parts Sales Consultant at (876) 937-0347.
• Deposits are refundable, after the cheque is cleared by the Bank and without penalty except where the part has already been processed by our supplier and cleared from the Jamaica Customs Department specifically for the customer. In that case the deposit will be refunded after the part is sold to another customer. A refund, without interest, will be made.
• We do not encourage payment by cash in excess of USD 900.00 or JMD 500,000.00 at our Parts facility.

Processing & Delivery
A certified cheque or cash is required for any outstanding balance before Kingston Industrial Garage initiates final delivery of spare parts.

Final Sale Price
Final sale price is subject to change should there be an increase/decrease in manufacturer’s price, Government duties, GCT, freight and insurance charges or exchange rates.
